LAHAD DATU: Police here have launched a manhunt for the suspect(s) of an abandoned baby boy at a plantation in Jalan Silam.

District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the baby was found alive at Kampung Sri Aman, Jalan Silam, Tuesday.

“The baby was immediately taken to the Lahad Datu Hospital for further treatment.

“Investigation is ongoing under Section 317 of the Penal Code for exposure and abandonment of a child,” he said.

Police urged those with information to contact Investigation Officer, Insp Mohd Damsa Dahlan at 089-881255 or come to the nearest police station to assist in investigation.
