LAHAD DATU: Police arrested four Indonesians suspected of being involved in drug-related activities in three separate operations, last Sunday.
District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail, said all four suspects were detained by Narcotic Crime Investigation Division and Desa Kencana Police Station personnel.
He said the first suspect was detained at 11.05am at Jalan Embara Budi. The 26-year-old man, who tested positive for drugs, was found to have a translucent plastic containing 0.09gm of syabu.
Another suspect, also 26, was detained at 6.58pm for taking drugs.
“About 9.35pm, when the team carried out Op Tapis in Jalan Ulu Tungku, the team stopped a red Proton Saga.
“The result of the inspection found a plastic package containing 16 translucent plastics filled with syabu weighing 57.03gm,” he said.
The other suspects, aged 30 and 45, were remanded after RM6,273 worth of drugs were found. A Proton Saga and two mobile phones were seized.
A total of 57.12gm of drugs worth RM6,283.20 were seized and the cases are investigated under Section 12(2), Section 15(1)(a) and Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
