KOTA KINABALU: Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe (
pic) said the party respects the decision of Datuk Frankie Poon and Liau Fui Fui to leave DAP along with their respective branches.
He thanked both leaders for their years of contribution and service to the party and the people of Sabah, wishing them well in their future undertakings.
Phoong said it is now time for the party to stay focused on serving Sandakan and continuing its efforts to bring more positive change to the community.
He added that he has full trust in Sandakan MP Vivian Wong Shir Yee to strengthen the party’s machinery and continue offering people-oriented services on the ground.
Phoong said the new Sabah DAP leadership remains committed to working with honesty and humility in building a more united and hopeful Sabah for all.
