Tuaran: The groundbreaking decision by the Kota Kinabalu High Court marks a watershed moment in Sabah’s constitutional and economic narrative, said PKAN (Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri).
The Court definitively ruled that the Federal Government acted unlawfully and exceeded its constitutional authority by neglecting to honor Sabah’s rightful 40% share of federal revenue for nearly five decades.
“This landmark judgment—achieved through the courageous and principled legal action undertaken by the Sabah Law Society (SLS)—represents an unequivocal victory for every Sabahan,” said party Sec-Gen Trevor Maringking.
For far too long, he said past political leaders have faltered, compromised, or succumbed to pressure when it came to defending Sabah’s fundamental rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
