Failed bid to link Chief Minister to scandal
Aksyah said court proceedings so far had revealed who the true instigator of the alleged corruption was.
Kota Kinabalu: Political activist Aksyah Nasrah slammed political commentator Musli Oli’s recent podcast with controversial businessman Albert Tei, describing it as a last-minute desperate attempt to smear the reputation of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and the State Government.

It is understood that Musli’s contract as Chairman of a State Government agency was not renewed a few months ago.

Aksyah said Musli’s decision to feature Tei, whom he claimed had been allegedly linked to corruption and fraud cases reflected a lack of credibility and political ethics.

“It is shocking that Musli would rely on Albert Tei. This is an act of desperation,” he said in a statement.

Kota Kinabalu: KOTA KINABALU: Fiesta Mega Raya (FMR) 2026 is set to be the largest and most prestigious Hari Raya celebration in Sabah, taking place from March 7 to 18, at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), here.
He likened Tei’s actions to someone playing with a water pistol. “The more he is used, the more he exposes the foolishness of his handlers.”

Commenting on claims made in the podcast that attempted to link the Chief Minister to Tei, Aksyah said it was normal for a Chief Minister to meet many individuals, including business figures, in an official capacity.

“Hajiji never denied meeting Tei, but the claims made in the podcast are fiction,” he said.

He stressed that Hajiji was not the type of leader who could be easily deceived.

“Hajiji has never fallen for false promises or donations disguised as bribery. He has consistently upheld integrity and placed Sabah’s interest above all,” he said.

Aksyah said court proceedings so far had revealed who the true instigator of the alleged corruption was.

“Albert Tei himself did not plead guilty to being the bribe giver, while the two assemblymen involved maintained their innocence,” he said.

He said Musli should repent for spreading political slander for personal gain.

“Your actions amount to defaming a leader who has never received a single cent from Albert Tei,” he said.
