SOOK: Sabah Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ellron Angin officiated the arena’s opening of the Petanque Arena attended by community leaders, school staff and local residents.
Ellron said the arena gives young people, including non-students, opportunities to participate in the sport.
Ellron also inspected classrooms fitted with new Smart TVs, praising the educational technology initiative for helping teachers deliver lessons more effectively and making learning more interactive for students.
He also toured other school facilities including the volleyball court and basic infrastructure, pointing out that sports and education development must progress together to produce academically excellent students who are also active and disciplined in co-curricular activities.
As additional support, Ellron presented six Smart TV units to SK Kalampun. This forms part of the State Government’s RM10 million allocation covering schools Statewide, ensuring rural schools keep pace with digital education trends.
“I hope these initiatives inspire our children’s learning spirit while strengthening relationships between schools, parents and the community, as educational success requires everyone’s support,” he said.
Also present were headmistress Ernawaty Jamil, teachers and parents.
