LAHAD DATU: Police arrested two local men suspected of abusing Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-laced e-cigarette (vape) liquid during an operation on Thursday.
District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the duo, aged 23 and 25, were detained following an “Op Tapis” raid by the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division at a hotel room along Jalan Cempaka.
He said police seized two small bottles of vape liquid, while urine tests on both suspects returned positive for THC. The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
In a separate “Op Tapis” operation, police also arrested a 41-year-old man at Jalan Reno Fajar and seized 5.44 grams of syabu and a roll of aluminium foil. The suspect also tested positive for ketamine.
Dzulbaharin said all three suspects have been remanded for further investigation. The second case is being investigated under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.
