Kota Kinabalu: The small population of the Dusun Sandayo community has expressed hope that the upcoming 17th Sabah General Election (PRU17) will bring leaders who are truly committed to serving the people and promoting the development of Sabah.
Luastipah Harajan, a farmer from Kampung Perupuk in Pitas, about 170km from Kota Kinabalu, said her village still lacks consistent electricity and water supply, good road access, and internet connection.
Luastipah, whose village is about an hour’s drive from Pitas town, said Sabah needs leaders who genuinely care about the state’s progress and are aligned with the Sabah Maju Jaya motto, particularly those capable of managing rural areas effectively.
She said the state needs someone who can promote Sabah not only in Kota Kinabalu but also in remote villages throughout the state.
