KOTA KINABALU: The Federal Government remains committed to supporting Sabah without being limited by the 40pc revenue entitlement rule.

In 2024, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the Federal Government collected RM10 billion from Sabah but spent RM17 billion on the state’s development, including schools, healthcare, border security, and ESSCOM. 

He emphasised that close Federal-State alignment ensures Sabah receives even greater support.
