KOTA KINABALU: Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has denied claims of a secret pact with Warisan, saying talk of a Kinabalu Move 2.0 does not reflect the coalition’s position.
He said he has never discussed cooperation with Warisan president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal and noted that both parties are contesting against each other in several seats.
Zahid acknowledged that post-election discussions remain possible, given his view that no single bloc is likely to command a clear majority after polling day.
He also addressed earlier claims by a StarSabah leader that BN and Warisan would revive the failed Kinabalu Move, which resurfaced after BN decided not to field a candidate against Warisan in Semporna.
Zahid, who is also Umno president, said the dispute involving Sipitang Umno and PKR in Sindumin has been settled through a Crisis Management Team set up to ensure cooperation with PH candidates.
