SANDAKAN: PKR is confident of retaining its traditional strongholds of Inanam and Api-Api in the 17th Sabah Election while placing special focus on potential gains in Gum-Gum, Sindumin and Merotai.
PKR election co-director Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail (

He said ground feedback, survey data and early campaign responses showed Gum-Gum emerging as a promising prospect for PKR and Pakatan Harapan this time.
Saifuddin said the party machinery is prioritising its two incumbent seats while working to strengthen its chances in several areas showing encouraging momentum.
He said candidates were chosen based on their ability to maintain constructive ties with the Federal Government, adding that such cooperation is vital to resolving Sabah’s long-standing issues with electricity, clean water and essential infrastructure.
