Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s political stability is crucial to prevent development from being derailed by frequent change of government, says Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Executive Secretary Datuk Mohamed Razali Razi.
Razali described the new manifesto as comprehensive and realistic, covering development, youth opportunities, women’s empowerment and the continuity of the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 agenda.
The GRS candidate for the Darau seat said Sabahans should not continue to be subject to political instability, which has had a direct impact on the state’s development performance.
“This manifesto is comprehensive… but continuity of SMJ 2.0 is the priority. We cannot lose this direction. Our goal is stability. Stop changing governments back and forth because ultimately the people will be the ones who lose,” he said.
On the three major issues of water, electricity and roads, Razali stressed that solutions have long been in progress and are not merely promises in the manifesto.
“Even before this, many projects have been implemented or are ongoing to address these three issues. The manifesto is only part of the puzzle. Next year, many projects will be completed. This isn’t rhetoric; it’s already happening on the ground,” he said.
