TAWAU: Pakatan Harapan’s Merotai candidate Datuk Ruji Ubi says he is ready to advance PKR’s reform agenda in Sabah if given the chance to serve in the next state cabinet.
He said his immediate priority, however, is to secure victory in Merotai and help PH form a unity government in Sabah.
Ruji, a former federal ministry secretary-general, told reporters at a meet-and-greet session with Merotai residents that the Prime Minister had expressed confidence in his policy experience should PH win.
He added that support from former elected representatives Liew Yun Fah and Hamisa Samat, along with ex-GRS candidate Jailani Chachu, has strengthened his campaign on the ground.
Ruji said PH continues to engage closely with Barisan Nasional (BN) and is focusing on addressing local issues ranging from infrastructure and jobs to documentation delays affecting families.
