Kota Kinabalu: Felix Joseph Saang not only looks forward to being the voice of Telupid but also hopes to lead them to a better tomorrow through Upko.
With the party’s “Sabah First” call, the 51-year-old Telupid candidate envisions to transform the constituency by unearthing its high potential in becoming a satellite town due to its strategic location and existing resources.
“We have a clear mission to improve Telupid which is strengthening basic infrastructure and empowering all levels of society through improved skills, education along with economy.”
He said customary land rights will be the main agenda where a special committee will be established to work closely with relevant government department to hasten the land ownership.
This committee will closely monitor land ownership processes to ensure that the locals will obtain their respective land area equally while at the same time solving the village demarcation settlement is implemented transparently and fairly in a more effective and efficient manner.
“For villages, this covers the roads that connects rural residences and farms, upgrading as well as maintaining facilities such as halls, pavilion, fields and streetlights, among others along with internet coverage improvement.
“We are also committed to deal with water and electric supply issues (that have continuously plagued the district).”
He will be going against Jonnybone J KurumParti from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Jamin Jamri Perikatan Nasional (PN), Simah Matusip from Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), Pagrios @ Petrus Zabang from Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM), Michel Alok from Parti Impian Sabah (PIS), Nilis Joseph from Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), Jikmariya Muran from Star and Benedict Asmat from Barisan Nasional.
