Kota Kinabalu: Former Inanam Assemblyman Datuk Dr Roland Chia has expressed his gratitude to the people of Inanam for their support over the years and congratulated Edna Majimbun on her election victory in the 17th State Election.

“I remain committed to being a listening ear for the community. Since 2013, I have worked closely with residents and will continue to do so, always striving to improve lives in Inanam,” he said.

Dr Chia also commended the other 11 candidates for their spirited participation and urged the public to support the newly-elected Assemblywoman in carrying out her duties.

In the election, Dr Chia, standing as an Independent, received 6,489 votes, losing to Edna of Parti Warisan, who garnered 9,441 votes in a 13-cornered contest. Dr Chia served as Inanam Assemblyman from 2013 to 2018.
