KENINGAU: The Keningau Tourism and Culture Association (Ketca) has launched a Keningau Tourism Short Video Competition in collaboration with the Sabah Film and Visual Association (Safva) Keningau Zone as co-organiser, with support from the State Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (KSTI).
The competition, conceived through a joint planning process that began in September this year, aims to uncover creative talent among youths and creative industry practitioners across Sabah, with particular focus on Keningau.
Participants are encouraged to produce high-quality short videos lasting between one and three minutes using smartphones to promote local attractions, culture and the natural beauty of Keningau.
Organising chairman Rafie Robert said the competition was not only a platform to showcase creativity but also a meaningful effort to drive the growth of the local tourism industry.
“We invite all talented individuals to take part, as this is an opportunity to showcase the beauty of Keningau to the world through your creative lens,” he said.
Rafie, who is also Ketca chairman, said the competition theme, Keningau Tourism, covers locations stretching from Apin-Apin to Senagang.
Selected videos will be showcased on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok after the closing date for submissions on January 25, 2026.
Further details on participation requirements and entry forms will be available via the official Ketca and Safva Facebook pages from Tuesday (Dec 16).
