KOTA KINABALU: A 61-year-old man died at the scene after being sideswiped by a Toyota Hilux on Jalan Kolam heading towards Bukit Padang around 1.30pm Friday.
Viral dashcam footage clearly shows the Hilux move from the middle lane into the rightmost lane, striking the motorcyclist.
Despite wearing a helmet, the victim’s head hit the road with severe impact, causing his death.
The 50-year-old Hilux driver, heading home towards Bundusan, was unharmed.
Paramedics who arrived shortly after pronounced the man dead.
