PENAMPANG: A 32-year-old motorcyclist, a father of four whose youngest child is just one month old, was killed in a road accident along Jalan Bundusan on Monday evening.
The incident occurred around 7.30pm when a Toyota Vios driven by a 48-year-old man, heading towards the Towering area, lost control in rainy conditions.
Both were travelling in the same direction from a nearby golf club when the car skidded, struck the left road divider and then rammed the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died at the scene from severe injuries.
His sister, who was present at the scene, said the victim’s wife had given birth to their fourth child just a month ago.
The car driver was uninjured.
Police arrived to secure the area and conduct investigations, and the victim’s body was later sent to the hospital for a post-mortem.
