SIPITANG: A traditional gasing (spinning top) championship bringing together players from various districts and states will be held on January 24 and 25 at the District Gasing Arena here.
Event spokesperson Azrin said the championship is organised by the Ulu Sipitang Gasing Association (Gorgon US).
He said all gasing players from across districts and states are invited to participate in the open tournament.
Attractive prizes are up for grabs, with the champion set to receive RM1,000, the runner-up RM700, and RM350 for third place.
“Participation is limited to 32 teams only, and the registration fee is RM100 per team,” he said.

Azrin also encouraged gasing players not to miss the opportunity to showcase their skills, further promote the traditional sport, and bring honour to their respective teams.
