THE current state of Sabah football has become a hot topic of discussion among my fellow ex-footballers and friends during our ‘Teh Tarik’ session.
Many questions surrounding the recent departures of players and team officials as well as other issues concerning the team have left us seeking answers from the management, who have yet to provide a comprehensive explanation.
It is disheartening to see how the transparency expected in the State football team operation has dwindled since the shift to professional management in 2021.
The aim of transforming associations to clubs was to evolve football into a commercially viable and sustainable endeavour.
