Man held over Sandakan break-ins
POLICE arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of being involved in a series of break-ins at self-service laundromats around the district during a raid in Bandar Leila, Sandakan, Tuesday.

The suspect was detained at about 1am following information received and swift action by Police. During the arrest, police seized a sharp weapon, tools believed to have been used in the crimes, cash and meth.

The suspect is believed to be linked to several reported cases of break-ins at self-service laundromats here. A preliminary urine test also showed that the suspect tested positive for meth.

He has been remanded to assist investigations under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
