PENAMPANG: Police have classified the death of a 43-year-old local man found in front of a house in Kampung Nosoob Baru, Penampang, as a sudden death pending a post-mortem.

Penampang district police said they received a report at about 8.15am on Wednesday after the man was discovered unconscious in front of a garage and later confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Initial checks found no signs of struggle, break-in or criminal elements, and no suspicious external injuries on the body.

The remains were sent to Queen Elizabeth I Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
