Man with 103gm of syabu held in Lahad Datu
LAHAD DATU: Police arrested a 26-year-old local, suspected to be a drug trafficker, and seized more than 100gm of drugs believed to be syabu at the public jetty, here, on Thursday.

District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the suspect was nabbed during Op Tapis at 10.30am. During the operation, narcotic officers inspected the man who was seen behaving suspiciously.

“This led to the discovery of three translucent plastics containing substances, believed to be syabu weighing 103.76gm and worth an estimated RM11,413.60, from the man.

“A mobile phone and a boat with an outboard engine believed used for drug trafficking activities were also seized,” he said, adding the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
