Three held, syabu seized in Lahad Datu
Among the suspects detained.
LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three foreigners and seized 10.66gm of drugs believed to be syabu in two separate raids under Op Tapis, here, on Sunday.

District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said in the first raid, a team from the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division arrested a man behind a commercial building in Jalan Reno Fajar.

An inspection on the suspect found a translucent plastic containing drugs believed to be syabu weighing 5.21gm in his possession.

“In the second raid, the team detained two men in a fuel station at Jalan Silam. Inspection on both suspects found a translucent packet containing drugs believed to be syabu weighing 5.45gm as well as drug abuse tools.

“Both suspects also tested positive for taking drugs,” he said.

He said the cases would be investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 while two of the suspects will also be investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.
