Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is targeting to raise local participation in Oil & Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) contracts from nearly 40pc in 2025 to 60pc by this year.
“To get there, we need strong collaboration from PACs and OPUs to create more opportunities for Sabahan companies to participate in complex services, either on their own or through smart partnerships.
“This also calls on Sabahan companies and training centres like TAS Institute to step up in building skilled workforce to meet the industry demands,” said Deputy Chief Minister II cum Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun during the 12th TAS Institute of Oil and Gas Convocation, here, Saturday.
His speech was delivered by Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Mohd Ishak Ayub.
