LAHAD DATU: A Search and Rescue (SAR) operation was activated for a five-year-old girl who went missing after a crocodile attack in the beach at Jalan Felda Sahabat 16, Desa Kencana, Sunday.

District Fire and Rescue Department Chief, Sumsoa Rashid said it received a distress call following the incident at 10.27am.

According to preliminary information, a girl was reportedly attacked and dragged into the waters by a crocodile while bathing near the beach.

The Fire and Rescue team was deployed to the scene for SAR and information will be updated from time to time.
