TAWAU: Authorities seized 1,350 litres of subsidised diesel believed to have been misappropriated by a fuel syndicate during a raid at an abandoned workshop along Jalan Damai here at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
The Sabah Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry said on Wednesday that the seizure was handed over to its Tawau branch by the General Operations Force 14th Battalion Tawau.

The seized items, valued at more than RM104,000, included a modified eight-tonne Isuzu lorry, metal drums, fuel hoses and a pump machine.
A 30-year-old local man, who was the lorry driver, was detained for further investigation on suspicion of involvement in the misappropriation of subsidised controlled fuel at the premises.
The case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961, while KPDN warned individuals and companies to comply with the law and urged those with information on subsidised controlled goods abuse to lodge reports through e-aduan.kpdn.gov.my, KPDN Tawau at 089-776690 or WhatsApp Aduan Pengguna at 019-2794317 or 019-8488000.
