TAWAU: Authorities seized 1,350 litres of subsidised diesel believed to have been misappropriated by a fuel syndicate during a raid at an abandoned workshop along Jalan Damai here at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.

The Sabah Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry said on Wednesday that the seizure was handed over to its Tawau branch by the General Operations Force 14th Battalion Tawau.

A 30-year-old local man, who was the lorry driver, was detained for further investigation on suspicion of involvement in the misappropriation of subsidised controlled fuel at the premises.
