Have better Police Pondoks

I READ a report in your paper sometime ago about abandoned police pondoks.
The question raised was why these pondoks have been abandoned.
However, there was no response from the police on whether it was due to cutback in the Force because of the downturn or maintenance issues.
In the report since the abandoned pondok was in Beverly Hills, I don’t see why the developer of the project could not be enlisted for maintenance since a police beat base certainly helps deter would-be criminals.

Abandoning them will be sending bad hats a wrong message.
These pondoks should also be presentable and not look like kandang ayam (chicken coop) as this near Suria Sabah.

I’m sure even Hap Seng would gladly help build proper ones even if costing RM20,000.
