THE DAP-led State Government in Penang boasted about their Exco members declaring their assets in public. Their tone is that they are the best, the cleanest and nothing to hide.
The following day, Penang DAP Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng concurred with his good buddy Dato Nazri of Umno that spouses and family members of Ministers should not have to declare their assets.
Well, my first impression is that both Nazri and Lim Guan Eng have something to hide.
That is the wealth of their wives and immediate family members.
By the way, the Penang example of declaration of assets was immediately used by the local Sabah PAS chapter to demand that the Sabah BN Cabinet must also declare their assets.
Again my first question to PAS, is why the PAS government in Kedah and Kelantan State Excos have not declared their assets? And what about Selangor?
All these are Pakatan states but none has asked their political leaders to declare assets in public.
Why is this hyprocrisy by PAS and DAP?
One last question for DAP and PAS, why did it take so long (four years) to declare assets?
What was being hidden in the last four years?
Or is the public declaration of assets just another pre-election gimmick?
