Kota Kinabalu: Sabah strongestwoman Joyce Heng clinched the women’s open title at the Imago Armwrestling Competition held in conjunction with the Harvest Festival at the mall on Sunday.
She stayed unbeaten throughout the two-day competition to beat national number one Tracey Hughes to take the RM2,000 top prize, with Nesurey Petrus Lojuyo in third place and Zarina Salim in fourth.

“I am really happy for the win. It was unexpected as I only aimed to seek funds to finance my next strongest women competitions in Singapore this June.
“I also have to thank Jolly Johnson for his guidance. Despite this victory, my main focus remains with the strongest women competition.
“However, I will not turn my back to represent Sabah or Malaysia in armwrestling so long as the date is not in conflict with the strongest women events,” she said.
Meanwhile, the men’s 75kg title was won by Joffey Jolly followed by Jong Chi Joon, Raymond Wong and Danneld Eku while the top four places in the 75kg category went to Michael Ford, Juan Gary, Damsi Abdullah and Radical Randie respectively.
