LAHAD DATU: The collaboration between the Malaysia Ministry of Education (KPM) and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) in addressing student discipline issues and misconduct is seen as highly relevant.

District Police Chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said that the goal of this collaboration was also very relevant in the process of community socialisation, which starts as early as the teenage years.

He said, through this collaboration, School Liaison Officers (PPS) from among Senior Police Officers and Junior Police Officers are appointed for each school.

“This aims to establish continuous communication between PDRM and the school in order to raise awareness of the types of criminal behaviour that change according to the social environment of a school.

“This also helps to create a safe school environment,” he said in a statement during his visit to SM St Dominic, recently.

During the visit, he held a meeting with Form Three to Form Five students.
