Late T-Team skipper to be buried in Kuala Lumpur

Terengganu: The family of the late T-Team skipper David Faramola Oniya have decided to bury his remains in Kuala Lumpur.Faramola's brother Adefaramade Oniya, 34, said his family made the decision to bury his brother's remains in Kuala Lumpur because in their culture, it was a taboo for old people to see the burial of their young ones. "However we are still identifying a place to bury my brother's remains in Kuala Lumpur. Where and when, we will tell you because we have only got limited time, only two weeks in Malaysia, so we need to settle fast.

"About the compensation, it is still ongoing with the T-Team management and we still have a meeting tomorrow. At least, the shipping cost is saved," he told reporters at the T-Team office, here Tuesday.Adefaramade who arrived in Terengganu last night was accompanied by Faramola's agent Felix Ndukwu and Nigeria Football Association representative in Malaysia, Micheal Omojuwa.The T-Team management are expected to assist Adefaramade and his agent to claim Faramola's remains from the Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZII) mortuary in Kota Baharu, Kelantan.Faramola from Lagos, Nigeria, the third in a family of six siblings died after collapsing on the field during a friendly against Super League side Kelantan at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Baharu on June 13. The T-Team captain collapsed three minutes into the match in Kota Bharu and was taken to hospital before he was pronounced dead.
