Share experience, pensioners are urged

Ranau: Pensioners are encouraged to share their experiences with the community, especially public servants to improve their knowledge in carrying out their duties.Ranau MP Datuk Ewon Ebin said the experiences are beneficial for the young generation."Even though you have retired you can guide the young generation so that they will know what's right and not," he said during the Ranau Pensioners Association's Kaamatan Festival celebration, near here.

Earlier, organising chairman Amin Hamid said the programme aimed to provide a platform for pensioners to reunite."Through such reunion, we can be informed about our friends' latest news as well as strengthening our ties," he said.At the event, Ewon who is also Ranau Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman approved an allocation of RM10,000 for the association's activities.In another Kaamatan Festival celebration at Kampung Logan 2, Ewon assured the villagers that he will probe the delay in the processing of land applications made by them since 2003.

Ewon said, he will instruct his special officer to contact the District Land Office to identify the cause of the problem.He also approved RM25,000 to repair the road leading to the farm and cemetery at the village which was damaged due to the earthquake.

Another RM1,800 was approved to purchase kitchen utensils for the village's community centre and another RM1,500 for wiring works at a villager, Justin Gangkis' house.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Ewon who is also United Sabah Dusun Association (Usda) President received 95 new membership forms from the villagers, handed by their representative Jusili Sulaiman.Also present were Paginatan PBS Chief Datuk Dr Othman Minudin, Ranau Pensioners Association President Aloysius Labi and Parliament Special Officer Japirin Sahadi.
