State hails Bakisa's commitments

Kota Kinabalu: The State government appreciates the contribution and commitment of all members of the Wives of Sabah Elected Representatives Welfare Association (Bakisa) in their efforts to assist the government through their charitable activities over the years.In fact, since it was established in 1994, Bakisa had provided wives of Sabah elected representatives the opportunities to contribute towards the establishment of networks and services to the public in addition to forging ties and cooperation among its members.Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the government would always support whatever activity planned as an incentive to Bakisa to be more active and be closer to the people through the implementation of various welfare programmes.

"Bakisa's contributions in the implementation of welfare, community and social programmes have positive impact on the government's effort to improve the standard of living of the people especially in the rural areas."Bakisa's success and contribution in sports is also commendable as they continue to bring glory to Sabah's name in badminton when they won the tournament several times in a row," he said when officiating the 22nd Bakisa Annual General Meeting here, Thursday.Of course, he said, the success was driven by the husbands who always give their moral support to their wives to continue serving the people.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
