The locations are Kota Belud Mosque, Chung Hwa Kota Belud Chinese Primary School, Kota Belud Chinese temple and the Kampung Piasau Borneo Evangelical Church.

Kota Belud MP Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said the solar panel at the Kota Belud mosque would be able to generate 541.45 kwh a month and caretakers can save RM506 from a bill of around RM1,250.
