'Twelfth Night' play commemorates Shakespeare's death

Kota Kinabalu: A special one-night only staging of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' will be held at 7pm at the G C Wooley Hall, Sabah Museum, on Friday.This year marks 400 years since the death of William Shakespeare and events commemorating the anniversary are held worldwide including the staging of the play in Kota Kinabalu.

The staging of the play is part of the on-going Kota Kinabalu Festival of Theater and Storytelling 2016, a festival within the KK Arts Fest that is hosted by the Society of Performance Arts Kota Kinabalu (SPArKS).

The event is made possible through the collaboration between Kota Kinabalu Festival of Theatre and Storytelling and Bachelor of Teaching (TESL) students from Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Gaya with assistance of New York-based Malaysian actress Yong Hui-Shurn.

The 15-member cast are led by Ong Wei Ann @ Harold, Capreesandy Anton, Christal Chong, Deffany Isaballe Nestor, Elisheeba Gloria Herbert, Fanny Mapan Jamau, Firzana Huda Rapaiee, Gerard George Gilbert, Lily Rawi, Lorrencia Mackriss, Muazzam Apni, Naziyatul Irma Sokeri, Parameswary Rajendran, Rhonacella Harry, Russel Junir Julius and Elysta Rozzannie Musah.
