Man loses two cars in break-in

style="text-transform: uppercase;">Kota Kinabalu: A 35-year-old man claimed he lost two cars after his house in Taman Jindo was broken into on Tuesday. The man identified only as Fu who stayed in the house with four other family members said they had just returned from a two day visit to Sandakan where they met another sibling.

"We arrived home on Monday and I was on the computer until 2am while the rest of my family members were asleep," he said.

He said they woke up at about 7am to find their gate open and their front door pried open, adding however that their house was not ransacked.

A laptop kept on the sofa and their two vehicles, a Honda CRV and a Vios, were also missing.

In a separate incident, a man and a woman sustained injuries when the vehicles they were driving collided at the traffic light junction in Lintas, here, on Monday.

It was learnt that the Vigo was driven by a woman in her 30s, who was headed towards Lintas from Lido, while the Kancil driven by a man in his 20s, was heading to Lintas Plaza from Hilltop when the 11.25pm mishap took place.

The impact caused the Vigo to skid and crash into a pedestrian walkway.
