10 M'sians stoppped at Manila airport

Kota Kinabalu: At least 10 Malaysians and 177 Indonesians were stopped from leaving for Saudi Arabia at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Friday.According to the Philippine Bureau of Immigration, the foreigners were intercepted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force at NAIA at 3.30am, Friday, allegedly for using fake Philippine passports.

The authorities said the foreigners were scheduled to board a Philippine Airline flight to Saudi Arabia and were prevented from boarding the aircraft after its officers doubted the authenticity of their respective travel documents.

It was also learnt that all the baggages of the travellers were marked "Sheik Omar Abdulaziz" who could be the organiser of their group.

Furthermore, the Immigration said the group was with five other Filipinos when they were intercepted at the airport.

The foreigners were immediately brought to the Immigration man office, for further investigation.
