Online gambling: 20 arrested
Keningau: Police rounded up 20 individuals, including six women, following a raid on a premises believed to have been used to conduct illegal online gambling activity.State Crime Investigation Department Chief SAC Datuk Salehhudin Abd Rahman said police raided the premises on Tuesday at around 12.10am.

"During the raid, 13 men aged between 24 and 51 and six women aged between 20 and 49 were inside the premises and using computers to gamble online.

"All of them are Malaysian citizens and have been arrested to facilitate investigation.

Also detained was a 27-year old male believed to be the caretaker of the premises," he said.

Salehhudin added that police also confiscated 16 sets of computers, one Wifi modem, one broadband, 16 chairs and RM1,090 cash.

All will be remanded until Oct 8.

They will be investigated under Section 4(B)(a) Common Gaming House Act 1953.
