PKS to hold AGM Oct 29

Kota Kinabalu: Members of Persatuan Kababayan Sabah (PKS) who wish to be updated on the association's financial annual report, projects and future plans are invited to attend the 2nd Annual General Meeting (AGM), here, October 29.During the meeting from 1pm to 5pm at the Labuk Room of Klagan Hotel in Warisan Square, PKS Chairman Teddy Pacaldo will deliver his opening message to be followed by review of the minutes of the 1st AGM.

The members will also be updated on PKS' membership drive as well the various projects implemented by its Kota Kinabalu, Keningau, Sandakan, Tawau and Lahad Datu liaison committees. The committees will also enlighten the participants on their upcoming projects.

Meanwhile, the Sandakan Liaison Committee is scheduled to hold a motivational talk at the B&B, Mile 8, on November 5.

In Keningau, the members together with Filipino Pastoral Community last Sunday participated in the annual solidarity tamu held at the St Francis compound from 8am to 5pm. During the outing, PKS members and other Filipinos in the district as well as visitors from all walks of life were given the opportunity to savour traditional local and Filipino delicacies.

Among the food offered included 'Lechon Manok', 'Diniguan', 'Achara' and 'Pan De Sal', among others.

PKS Keningau, led by chairperson Cherilyn Rondidas, together with her active, energetic and service-oriented members successfully conducted several community projects including sports activities in the district.
