Kuala Lumpur: Komugi Bakery Malaysia apologised for the "unfortunate incident" where a rat was spotted on one of its trays of freshly baked bread at its store in a popular mall in Kuala Lumpur.Photos of a rat on top of a tray of freshly-baked bread started circulating on social media, after a Facebook user by the name of Melon Roux uploaded the pictures on Sunday.While she did not mention the name of the bakery chain, Komugi's signature yellow twirls were seen in one of the pictures.

The bakery franchise said that the rats were a "known issue" at the mall and that they have been trying to resolve the problem with the mall management.
