Free courses now available

Kota Kinabalu: Members of the public who are interested to learn new skills under government sponsored programmes can register now for various courses.According to a statement, these courses are free and will include training materials, refreshment and certificate of attendance.The Resource Development and information Technology Ministry has been offering free ICT courses in Sabah since 2005.

Besides ICT programmes, language classes like Conversational English, Korean, Japanese and Mandarin are offered too.More than 80 ICT courses are provided ranging from basic computer usage to sophisticated software applications, focusing on graphic design, blog and web development, webpage designing, computerised accounting, inventory, payroll, animation, networking, operating system, PC maintenance, photo editing, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, programming skill, statistical analysing, project management and mobile applications.The statement stated that unemployed trainees are also taught how to search for employment opportunities online and that organisations may now take the opportunity to upgrade their staff productivity through these training.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Earlier this year, more than 40,000 students around the State were trained in ICT and language courses in Beaufort, Keningau, Kinabatangan, Kota Belud, Kota Marudu, Kudat, Lahad Datu, Matunggong, Papar, Pitas, Ranau, Tamparuli, Tandek, Sipitang, Sandakan, Tawau, Tambunan and Kota Kinabalu.
