Kota Kinabalu: Road users across the State have been reminded to abide by traffic rules especially during the coming fasting month and Kaamatan Festival. The reminder came from Sabah Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department Head, Supt Dingka Utoh, here, Thursday.

"Traffic is normally heavily congested particularly during the fasting month, Kaamatan Festival or any other festive season for that matter.

"Thus we remind road users to be more patient and tolerant while on the road in order to prevent unwanted incidents," he said.

He said he has also mobilised his officers to monitor traffic flow, especially along stretches known to be heavily congested.

"We will do our level best to ensure smooth traffic flow, and hope motorists would also cooperate by abiding with the traffic rules.

"We also want to remind Kaamatan revellers to drink in moderation, be responsible...do not get behind the wheel when intoxicated," he said. - Sherell Ann Jeffrey
