S'kan armed grab: Three held, hunt for another

Sandakan: Three men were arrested and a hunt is on for another foreigner in his 30s who was allegedly involved in an armed robbery at Bandar Ramai-Ramai on Oct 6.State Commissioner Police Datuk Ramli Din urged one Martin to come forward to help in investigations into the incident that occurred at 11.55pm.Ramli said four men, including Martin, robbed a 47-year-old after shooting him in the stomach with a pistol.

"The three suspects comprised two locals and one foreigner aged 33 to 39 and were arrested on Oct 13," he said.Following the arrest, several items were confiscated, including a pistol, two bullets, a mobile phone, some cash and a vehicle worth a total of around RM45,000.He said the case will be investigated under Section 3 of the Firearms Act (Increased Penalties) 1971 and Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.Meanwhile, in a separate case, Ramli said Ranau police have arrested seven men, believed to be Filipinos, in connection with the death of a man who was stabbed in Sinar Wanita Estate, Ranau, on Sunday.

Ramli said were informed at 9pm that a man, believed to be a Filipino, was found in a workers' quarters with a 4-inch wound on his back.
