Stay focused on tasks, SESB staff advised

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) has advised its employees to remain focused on their daily tasks to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply in the State.Its Managing Director Ir Abd Razak Sallim said SESB would continue to operate as usual with the current staff strength and ensure the implementation of initiatives to improve internal efficiency.

This message, delivered at the SESB annual assembly recently, was contained in a statement issued Friday.

Abd Razak gave the assurance that there would be no reduction of manpower in the company.

There have been calls to cut staff as a way of addressing the financial woes of the company.

SESB Employees Union President Azhar MY Ahmad and SESB Engineers Union President Terrence Kouju expressed support for the statement by the SESB managing director.

The union leaders urged their members to continue to extend their co-operation and support to the SESB management to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity in Sabah and Labuan.
