Man charged with gang-rape of girl, 17

Kota Kinabalu: A 34-year-old man was charged in the Sessions Court here Wednesday with the gang-rape of a 17-year-old girl.Sudirman Mahyuddin pleaded not guilty to the charge before Judge Azreena Aziz.He allegedly raped the girl together with three other accused, who were not present in court, at a lodging house in Beaufort between 11pm on Sept 4 and 6am on Sept 5, 2017.

The offence under Section 375B of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between 10 years and 30 years, and whipping, on conviction.The court set March 12 for case management and released Sudirman on a bail of RM10,000 in two local sureties.Azreena also issued the Summons to Accused (STA) to the other three accused and set the same date for mention of their case.In the same court, a 28-year-old local claimed trial to raping an underage girl.

Jackson Masih is accused of raping the 15-year-old girl at 7am on Sept 19, 2017 at a house in Kg Bundu, Kuala Penyu.March 26 was fixed for management of his case and no bail was offered to Jackson.
