PKS third to announce list

Putatan: Stand-alone Parti Kebangsaan Sabah (PKS) became the third party after Sabah DAP and Sabah PAS to announce its list of candidates early.

It is fielding candidates in 58 state and all 25 parliamentary seats in Sabah, including Labuan, in the 14th General Election (GE14).

The party that wants to reinstate Sabah's status as a "negara", appoint a Sabah Prime Minister with six Chief Ministers to assist him, including to allow a woman to be appointed Head of State, among others, announced their names on Monday.

They include nine women candidates among a majority of first timers. Only three, including party President Thomas Anggan, have ever stood as candidates in previous elections.

Thomas will be contesting in Bingkor where he once served as a Parti Bersatu Sabah assemblyman in 1985.

The list of candidates to contest in the parliamentary seats are: J. All the candidates received their appointment letter from Thomas on Monday.

He also announced that Mohd Azmeer Ebil Abdullah has been appointed as the party's director of operations, propaganda and strategy. - Leonard Alaza
