Kota Kinabalu: Head coach Johnny Dominicus urged his boys to bounce back from recent disappointment and get a win against Misc-Mifa in the President Cup competition Group A match at Likas Stadium this afternoon (Thursday) starting at 4.15pm.The team who had started so well at the start of the season, suffered their first consecutive home defeats to Kedah and Pahang in their last two matches.

Johnny said on Wednesday that they have to win to strengthen their position at the top.

"Although we are still lying in second place despite the defeats, we are rather disappointed with our last two results. It surely has effected some of the players but overall I think they are still mentally strong.

"A win tomorrow is a must to keep up their morale and I am sure they will try their very best to deliver for the fans."

He admitted that the team started quite slowly in the last two matches and vowed to rectify the shortcomings.

"We did not start as we would like in the last two ties, and I understand that the players have been travelling non-stop since the start of the season for the away matches, and it surely took a toll on some of them physically.

"The yellow card suspensions to our regular defenders also did not help matters.

We could see that our defence was the weakest link in the team. However, our first choice will be available tomorrow and I expect much better performance than the previous two matches."

However, he is still undecided on the team's starting line-up but was certain that the back four of Evan Wensley Wenceslaus, Ranilson Batuil, Zaki Spari and Kevin Pengiran with Sakri Masri will start the match. - GL Oh
