Kota Kinabalu: The body of a 24-year-old was found on the car park of a condominium along Jalan Sulaman at 4pm, Saturday. It was believed that he had jumped from the 9th floor.

Mohd Ferdausz bin Pahruddin, from Tawau, was believed to be going through a troubled relationship with his 25-year-old girlfriend.

Residents who heard a loud sound went out to check the commotion and found his body. Police were alerted and the body sent for post mortem.

The deceased's girlfriend, who works in a hypermall nearby, said she knew the deceased through the Internet for two months before they were involved in a relationship. She said they often quarreled.

The deceased's 26-year-old sister said she received a SMS from him at about 5.30am, Saturday, indicating he would die if he did not meet his girlfriend. On Saturday morning, the deceased, who worked in a computer company in Likas, knocked on the condominium unit where his girlfriend was staying but was ignored. The girlfriend later went to work.

It was learnt that between 3.18pm and 3.22pm, the girlfriend received three SMSes from the deceased indicating that he intended to commit suicide if she refused to meet him. However, she was unable to do so because of her work commitments. Insp. Rohana and Sgt Mohd Ishar were at the scene.
