Man suffers broken leg in crash

Kota Kinabalu: A 38-year-old man sustained injuries when his Vigo vehicle crashed near the Damai traffic light junction, here, Friday. It was learnt that the man, who was heading out of the Damai junction, lost control of his vehicle while trying to avoid hitting another vehicle. The impact caused him to hit one of the traffic lights before crashing into a lamppost and two trees, resulting in him sustaining a fractured leg in the 12.45am incident. Passersby assisted him out of the vehicle and paramedics who subsequently arrived sent him to hospital.

Fire and rescue personnel were also at the scene to help remove the trees which fell on the road.
